Many people in the new world, perhaps the majority of people, rely on clocks that are synchronized with a centralized feed source. Cellphones, smart watches, computers, and many new vehicles – all synchronized with a synchronized time source ultimately manipulated by its minders; human, or perhaps AI?
Backwards, forwards, adding milliseconds to hours or subtracting hours from months – we could be 100 years old or maybe 7 – we have been known to manipulate dog years. There are many possible implications associated with the concept of time manipulation, barely any that would benefit those that take advantage of the automatically updated time feature on your electronic clocks. Perhaps brief power outages were meant to simply reset your oven clock to a flashing 12:00 as a distraction while the time on your device is manipulated. Interesting how a device-user’s entire reality of life can be manipulated by simply altering the centralized time source – further evidence that we may be AI.
