Uber and Lyft are a hotbed for disease, I would say equivalent to a Petri dish on wheels – even more so with the pool / shared rides, as you have not just the passive contamination but multiple passengers intaking each other’s air in real-time for an amount of time that could induce transmission by air.
At the very least the above situation will necessitate additional cleaning and sterilization of the vehicles for public health reasons. This will be one justifiable catalyst to raise prices – for both quality of service and of course, a little bit of extra profit.
