I’ve wondered from time to time about exactly what type of effort and focus it must take for a paraplegic to learn to walk again. When you’ve lost a thought, and then found it – how would you describe the act of finding that lost though? Is it like fishing in your brain, without string or a fishing rod – or perhaps infinite string and rods. But, nonetheless, we do inherently perform some kind of act within our psyche, which allows us to focus on the task of finding a thought that we’ve lost, a methodical, mysterious, and autonomous digging around in our brain – then suddenly it pops into out head. Perhaps the utilization of a temporarily non-functional part of our body comes down to the same type of act as finding a lost thought – we must tell our brain what we’d like it to do, and be relentless in doing so, until we see the results. Perhaps this method could be effective in a verity of circumstances.
